New York City man says he'll release sex tape unless wife agrees to good divorce deal

A MAN is threatening to turn his estranged wife into the next Paris Hilton by releasing a sex tape they made unless she cuts him a good deal in their pending divorce case.

In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Lily Shang says hubby David Glenn Rucker has told her he'll post "intimate" videos they made on the internet unless she agrees to a deal that would spare him paying big bucks, the New York Post reports.

The couple, who tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Toronto in April of last year, twice took "certain video of intimate moments of a sexual and private nature" in "the privacy of their own home," Ms Shang's suit says.

Mr Rucker filed for divorce this past October, and has ignored Ms Shang's pleas to either give her the tape or destroy it, the filing says.

Instead, he "has threatened to release video of the plaintiff, especially onto the internet, if she does not agree to a low financial settlement in [the] divorce proceedings," the filing says.

He also plans on making it a one-woman show, the suit says.

Mr Rucker "has also made it clear that he will not release video that includes himself, and that he will edit himself out and/or use video that already consists only of plaintiff," the filing says.

The action seeks a court order blocking the tape's release, on the grounds that Ms Shang "is a co-owner of the copyrights of the videos as a joint author under federal and state copyright laws," and that Mr Rucker doesn't have the required written authorisation to release it.

Ms Shang's lawyer, Matthew Seidner, declined comment. Mr Rucker's lawyer could not immediately be reached.
