Eddie Cibrian's Ex-Wife -- Charged in DUI Case

According to the L.A. County District Attorney, Brandi was charged with two misdemeanors -- driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and driving with a blood alcohol level above 0.08%.

As we first reported, Glanville was pulled over on Sunset Boulevard ... when cops smelled alcohol they gave her a field sobriety test ... which she flunked.

If convicted, Glanville faces up to six months behind bars and a $1,000 fine.

Brandi Glanville, Actor Eddie Cibrian's Ex-Wife, Charged with DUI

NEW YORK (CBS) Actor Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, was charged with two misdemeanors Friday stemming from an October DUI arrest in Los Angeles, according to celebrity gossip site TMZ.

Glanville, who divorced Cibrian after his extramarital affair with country music star LeAnn Rimes, was reportedly pulled over for a traffic violation on Sunset Boulevard Oct. 29 and then arrested after she failed a field sobriety test, reports US Magazine.

According to the L.A. County District Attorney, the model/makeup artist is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and driving with a blood alcohol level above 0.08%, states TMZ.

"I messed up. I take full responsibility for my actions," she tweeted following the incident. "I regret my bad choice, and am thankful to God that no one got hurt. I'm sorry."

If convicted, Glanville could spend up to six months in jail and face a $1,000 fine.

Natalie Portman engaged, expecting

The usually very private Natalie Portman told Entertainment Weekly she was very happy and grateful after she revealed Monday she and choreographer Benjamin Millepied are engaged and expecting their first child.

"I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience," she said in a statement posted at ew.com.

Portman, 29, and Millepied, 33, met during the production of the psychological thriller "Black Swan." Portman's tour-de-force performance as a ballerina in the film has earned her best actress nominations from the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild.

Rimes, Cibrian engaged

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are engaged, her representative confirmed with People.com Monday. No wedding date has been announced.

Country singer Rimes, 28, and actor Cibrian, 38, caused a tabloid sensation when they began an affair after meeting on the set of the Lifetime movie "Northern Lights" in 2009.

Rimes at the time was married to Dean Sheremet, a former dancer and Dearborn native. They were married in 2002 when Rimes was 19 and Sheremet was 22. After finalizing their divorce in June, Sheremet, now residing in New York City, announced to usmagazine.com in November he was engaged to fashion photographer Sarah Silver.

Rimes will become a stepmother to Cibrian's 7-year-old Mason and 3-year-old Jake. Cibrian and Brandi Glanville, whose divorce is still pending according to People, share custody of their kids.

Rimes thanked fans on Monday via Twitter. "It's been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!" she said. "We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love."

Battery charges for 'Teen Mom'

Amber Portwood, one of the stars of MTV's reality series "Teen Mom," was arrested Monday, according to TMZ.com.

Portwood, 20, was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery and one felony count of neglect of a dependent in Madison County, Ind. She was also charged with one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.

Authorities began an investigation in September after viewing a "Teen Mom" episode that showed her repeatedly hitting her ex-fiancé, Gary Shirley, 24, in front of their daughter. Officials have accused her of three separate battery incidents that occurred between August 2009 and July 2010.

Portwood faces three years in prison and fines of up to $10,000 if convicted on all three counts, TMZ reports.

NEW YORK (CBS) A diamond ring always makes a good Christmas gift, even when you're a celebrity with the world watching your romance.

And that's why so many celebrity engagements were announced this week, from Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes to Ginnifer Goodwn and Joey Kern.

The romance of Rimes and Cibrian, who sealed their engagement over the holidays with a five-carat oval diamond, is being closely followed because both were married to other people when they met and fell in love.

Rimes' ex-husband, Dean Sheremet, is looking at a second marriage himself, having announced his engagement last month. Cibrian's ex, Brandi Glanville, is not so lucky. She faces a court hearing for a DUI arrest in October in Los Angeles.
