A Christmas Story is a modern classic. The 1983 movie about a Depression-era family struggling, in hilarious fashion, with the holiday is pretty much unavoidable for those who have cable television – it’s on nearly all the time with the Christmas holiday approaching. If your kids have been watching little Ralphie beg for his Red Ryder BB gun, they may be surprised to find that Ralphie a.k.a Peter Billingsly, is actually a grown up filmmaker these days.
The former child star sat down with “Nightline” to talk about the world premiere of A Christmas Story: The Musical in Seattle. Apparently, no matter how old he gets, Peter is still recognizable as the beloved holiday munchkin. Peter is still in show business, but now he works behind the camera as a producer and a director. A Christmas Story: The Musical is his latest project – he’s hoping to take it all the way to Broadway.
