Lily Shang (PICTURES): Sex Tape Threat Claims in NYC Divorce Case

NEW YORK (CBS) David Glenn Rucker, a Manhattan man, threatened to release a sex tape he made with his wife Lily Shang if she did not agree to a favorable divorce settlement, according to court papers filed by Shang and obtained by the New York Post.

The two were married in Toronto in 2009; Rucker filed for divorce in October of this year.

The Post quotes the papers as saying that Rucker threatened to release "certain video of intimate moments of a sexual and private nature" recorded in "the privacy of their own home" on the Internet if Shang "does not agree to a low financial settlement."

The filing seeks to block release of the footage under a copyright claim.

What does Rucker have to say about this?

"It's comical really," he told the New York Daily News, saying he would never release the footage. "That would damage me, since I actually have a career."

According to the paper, Rucker works for financial firm Golden Archer Investments.

Shang spoke to her hometown paper the Toronto Star, saying she was "devastated" that the New York press had picked up her story.

"Divorce is a very difficult and private matter," she said. "Unfortunately this has taken a turn for the worst. It's sad that a private matter has become public in this way."
