NEW BRAUNFELS - Last night 'twas the night before Christmas and all through her house Marge Swiney of New Braunfels had finished putting out and displaying her book collection of the famous poem, "A Visit From St. Nicholas."
Swiney has 190 books of the poem, which is attributed to Clement Clarke Moore. According to several websites, the poem was first published on Dec. 23, 1823, in the Sentinel in Troy, N.Y.
